About the Moora Country Campout
An event borne out of adversity when Lee Kernaghan's 'Pass the Hat' tour came to Moora after the devastating floods of 1999.
The first event laid a couple of foundations for the Moora community, firstly the base of the restoration of the Moora Town Hall into the outstanding Moora Performing Arts Centre, opened in October 2004.
The other was the seed that has grown into the Moora Country Campout, arguably the best country music event in Western Australia.
Moora Promotions, a group of volunteers who work tirelessly all year to present a quality event, and the many benefits it brings to Moora and the surrounding community.
We have built on the success of previous events, incorporating Sunday Bush Races and band, a Friday night mini concert featuring up and coming young Western Australian artists, speedway and burnout competition, beaut ute competition, all highlighted by the Saturday night concert.
