Moora Country Campout

Moora Town ClockThe Moora Country Campout is a three day festival held every year in Moora. The main event is the Saturday night concert featuring Australia's best country and rock artists. A number of exciting activities have been added to support the concert, involving the whole town, making the event an enticing three day festival.

Australian music fans, families, horse groups, campers, ute and speedway enthusiasts come from all over Western Australia to participate in the jam-packed weekend. There is something for everyone and for every budget including free events, free entry to children under six.

The 2008 Moora Country Campout will be held over the Easter Weekend from Good Friday, March 21. The 2008 Moora Country Campout Concert features Kate Ceberano, Travis Collins, The Pigs, Aussies Walk the Line (Johnny Cash/Highwaymen tribute band) and Nicki Gillis.

A free family concert will be held Friday (March 21) evening at Apex Park featuring local Western Australian talent.  On the Saturday (March 22), a street festival and ute competition will be conducted followed by a concert in the evening.

The street festival takes place in Dandaragan and Padbury Streets while this year, the ute competition will be held in the Moora Performing Arts Centre Car Park.

On Sunday morning the Lions Club Big Breakfast is on again at Apex Park and there is a Street Rod Show and Shine display at the Swimming Pool carpark. Later there is also a Speedway Charity Meeting - Racing starts 12 noon until 5 pm, food available, cold drinks, bar operating. Gate Entry: $10 per car - all gate proceeds to local charities.
